Greece is hot hot hot this summer. One of the first to re-open to American travelers, all eyes are on this multi-island marvel, a perfect blend of historic splendor and beach/party/romance. There truly is something for everyone, as each island brings its own unique personality to play.

Guests looking for style and sophistication with a vibrant nightlife should consider making a stop in Mykonos. The Kalesma Mykonos doesn’t disappoint. The resort seeks to immerse guests in the uniquely luxurious and earthly atmosphere that the region historically represents. Aleomandra, where the hotel is situated, is said to have been home to the Olympian god Apollo’s horses’ stables. As such, Kalesma, which means “inviting” in Greek, combines the myths of the region with a deep respect for the earth, and heartfelt Mykonian hospitality.

The Rooms

The exclusive hotel pays careful attention to design, and with only 25 luxury suites and two larger villas, guests will experience a deeply immersive and personally curated stay. The Cycladic-inspired architecture fuses modern elements and locally sourced materials to create a meticulous and luxurious aesthetic experience, while remaining comfortable and unpretentious. All suites have a private patio that provides unobstructed views and full-sized personal heated pools.

The Experience

The hotel seeks to engage all five senses. With breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea, comforting sounds of nature, earthly textures incorporated into the décor, tastebud-inspiring flavors, and enticing aromas, this mission is exceptionally accomplished. Set on five acres of land, guests can stroll along the sandy shores or wander along the hillside bursting with herbs and wildflowers. Pere Ubu is a Greek restaurant perched on the peak of the property with unrivaled panoramic views of the sea. There is also a pool bar that serves cocktails and small bites, located centrally at the hotel’s infinity pool. Private dining experiences are also available in guests’ accommodation.

For guests looking to reconnect with their body, private in-room spa, and fitness services are also available. A dedicated spa that is set to open in 2022 is still in the works, but for now, clients have the option of receiving face and full-body treatments in other peaceful settings, or from the comfort of their own suite. Yoga and Pilates sessions are also available from the privacy of guests’ suites, or outside on the private terraces, upon request.

We’d love to design a visit to Kalesma as part of a larger Grecian escape, with perks including customized beach club service, private boat tours, and more – no dream is too big or too small. Reach out today!
